Protein Brownie Recipe

Although I like to buy protein bars, it can get expensive, so I often make my own protein snacks and this is a recipe I absolutely love. I’m sure there are many protein brownie recipes out there, but the sweet potato brownie recipe from Joe Wicks (@thebodycoach) is absolutely delicious and the perfect craving killer if you fancy something a little bit naughty.

– 500g sweet potato
– 30g oats
– 2 scoops chocolate protein powder
– 1/2 tsp baking powder
– 1 tsp cinnamon
– 1 tsp cocoa powder
– 100g dark chocolate
– 4 egg whites
– 1 orange (optional)

– peel, chop and boil your sweet potato until it’s soft, then mash it and add the oats
– add the protein powder (I use chocolate brownie flavour), baking powder, cinnamon and cocoa powder and combine
– melt the chocolate and add in with the egg whites, ensuring the eggs are stirred well into the mixture
– (option step) grate some orange zest and mix in
– line a baking tray with grease proof paper and pour in the mixture, ensuring it’s evenly spread
– bake for 25 minutes at 180 degrees

And there you have it! Slightly naughty, but overall high in protein and most importantly extremely tasty!
